Four 'teens' arrested in fatal shooting of 94-year-old woman

DAILYKENN.com -- Police believe 94-year-old Eva Carmichael was shot dead after a group of black teens entered her home.

Reports say the woman apparently made a 911 call but the call was disconnected, probably by one of the suspects.

When police arrived they discovered the elderly white woman's body.

Arrested and charged with capital murder are: Jaquis Houston, 18, Deshay Shively, 17, Marcus Steele II, 18, and Juwan McCullum, 18.

• Black lives matter. The lives of elderly and vulnerable white women matter little, at least to the mainstream Marxist media.

• Women's rights matter. The rights of elderly white women matter little, at least to neo-feminism that exploits women to further a cultural Marxist agenda. Eva Carmichael's right to life was of no concern to any neo-feminist group. There was not a word of protest.

• White Americans are taught that it is racist to consider out-of-place black males a threat when seen in white neighborhoods. That argument, you will recall, was made by the media in the case of Trayvon Martin.

However, had neighbors of Eva Carmichael seen and reported these black teens, her life may have been spared.

News reports say Carmichael had lived at her home for sixty years.

The crime occurred in Merdian, Miss. on March 1, 2015.

Four teenagers have been arrested and charged in connection with last Sunday's fatal shooting of 94-year-old Eva Carmichael.

In a press conference on Thursday, Meridian Police Chief Benny Dubose said Jaquis Houston, 18, Deshay Shively, 17, Marcus Steele II, 18, and Juwan McCullum, 18, have each been charged with capital murder and burglary.

The teenagers are being held without bond on the capital murder charge, with a $200,000 bond each on the burglary charge.

"On March 1, around 12:40 (a.m.), Meridian Police Department responded to a hangup 911 call at 5407 Fifth Street," Dubose said. "On arrival officers discovered the body of Ms. Carmichael. Inside the residence the house had been burglarized."

Dubose said when officers arrived they discovered Carmichael's body.

"It appears based on the investigation Ms. Carmichael surprised the individuals that entered the home and as a result she was shot multiple times," Dubose said.

Other arrests in the case could be forthcoming, Dubose said.

Dubose said he would like to thank the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigation Division Vital Crime Unit, the Gang Unit and the East Mississippi Drug Task Force for the joint effort to solve the case.

"All of these different divisions played a great role in bringing this case to a closure and also we had a lot of information from the community," Dubose said.
